WSU and the CougarCard Center entered into a relationship with U.S. Bank in June 2007 that provides expanded banking services for WSU students, faculty and staff. In January we took the next step in our relationship with U.S. Bank and introduced the new CougarCard Maxx Visa signature debit card. The CougarCard Maxx combines all the functionality of a standard CougarCard with the power of a Visa debit card accepted at millions of locations worldwide.
Visa's non-competition policy requires we limit the use of Cougar CASH as a payment option to "on-campus locations." After some discussion, we have developed a mutually agreeable definition of "on-campus locations" to include merchant locations in close proximity to or directly adjoining the WSU Pullman campus.
Due to Visa's non-competition policy, changes have been made to the Pullman merchants accepting Cougar CASH as of July 1, 2009. Please see the list of on-campus locations and Pullman merchants accepting Cougar CASH below.
Cougar CASH is used as a form of payment for a variety of goods and services on the Pullman, Spokane and Vancouver campuses and at Pullman merchant locations in close proximity to or directly adjoining the WSU Pullman Campus. Cougar CASH is not currently accepted on the Tri-Cities campus. Students, faculty and staff use Cougar CASH to purchase a wide variety of services in the WSU campus communities.
Cougar CASH is not your Residence Dining Account. For more information about RDA accounts, check out the Housing, Dining, and Residence Life RDA information page.
