Graduate and Professional Students

Graduate students may obtain their CougarCard one week before and throughout their first term of registration.

Global Students

Students who are studying off campus may obtain their CougarCard as long as they are registered with WSU. Specific information regarding that process can be found here:  https://online.wsu.edu/currentstudent/student-support/cougarcard/

Dual Admission/Enrollment Students

Students who have dual admission status with WSU and one of several Washington Community Colleges may obtain their CougarCard even if they are only registered for classes at the Community College. They have access to library and computer lab resources at WSU, but may not have access to student fee-funded facilities and services such as Recreation Centers, depending on the arrangements that their particular institutions have made. This includes but is not limited to Spokane Falls Community College and Running Start students.

Faculty/Staff & Temporary Employees

Regular Faculty, Classified Staff, and Temporary Employees may obtain their CougarCard at the ID Center. You will need to bring your passport, or your US state or federally -issued identification (driver's license, state ID card, military ID, etc.). You can only do this after you have been added to WSU Payroll via Workday.

The spouse, domestic partner, or dependent of current WSU Students, Staff, and Faculty can use the Affiliate Card for checking out library materials, and membership purchase and entry at Recreation Centers. A $10 fee is assessed for these cards.

Cards are available to community members who need access to on campus resources, such as they have purchased a membership with University Recreation. A $10 fee is assessed for these cards.

Department Badges

CougarCard Services can create photo/name badges upon request for WSU departments that would like their employees to wear one. This badge is the same size and shape as the regular CougarCard and may contain your department logo or other artwork of your choice. A $10 fee is assessed for these cards.
